VA Birders,

Today, Saturday, September 11, at Fort C.F. Smith Park in Arlington Co.,
we started the morning with a pair of Bald Eagles, and we ended it with our
first White-throated Sparrow of the fall season.  I think the sparrow is about

weeks earlier than White-throats normally arrive here.  Other birds of note
at Fort Smith today were 2 Ospreys, 2 Red-shouldered Hawks, a Red-eyed Vireo, a
Baltimore Oriole, and several warblers.  The warblers included Nashville,
Magnolia, Black-throated Blue (a lovely male), Am. Redstart, and 2 Common
Yellowthroats.
