Greeting to all again:

On my way to work this morning I spotted an adult Bald Eagle eating a fish at
Leggett's Bottom which is on Hwy 58W towards Danville where the highway crosses
over the Dan River.

The eagle didn't catch the fish out of the river.  On the way home Friday
evening looking for shorebirds, I stopped to check out the standing water that
was left from the last flood which had some fish in it.  I thought then that it
would be a good place to see a Bald Eagle taking advantage of the easy catch.
Was I surprise to see the eagle there this morning.

On the way home this evening I made a quick check at Leggett's Pond to see if
anything new has showed up and saw an adult Killdeer with three chicks that
were almost full grown.
