I went to Leonard's Pond about 3:00 this afternoon. After a run of seven
straight days (Wednesday-Tuesday) in which everybody who came got to see the
Baird's Sandpiper (whether they could identify it or not), there was no sign of
it
today. Neither was there any sign of the American Golden-Plover. If these
rarities have indeed left for points south, we were privileged to have had them
as long as we did; the plover was here from last Thursday to Monday, Labor
Day. If anyone has seen it since Monday, I have not heard of it.

Blue-winged Teal 3 females

Spotted Sandpiper 2
