Best migration to date here:

Black-billed Cuckoo - 4/25/06 - Heard this bird and said, "cuckoo" - but
wait, not YB!  Anyway it obliged for pics.  Definitely the absolute best
study I have ever had of this species!  I loved the way it puffs out its
chest like a pigeon when it cooed/sang.  I watched for 15 minutes and it was
still in the yard vocalizing when I left for work.  Go to:
www.birdingva.com and click on Galleries on the left - then select BBCU from
the 2006 list.  Hold over each thumbnail pic for a larger version.  Yard
Bird # 194

Spotted Sandpiper       - 4/24/06 - On time, dates range from 4/15 to 4/30

Baltimore Oriole        - 4/20/06 - Also 4/20 in 2004!

Red-eyed Vireo  - 4/20/06

Palm Warbler    - 4/25/06 -     1st for the year - normally one or two during
the
winter but not this year.

Blue-winged Warbler     - 4/25/06 -     Yard Bird # 193 - 1st for the yard but
on
time compared to my Suffolk dates.

Indigo Bunting  - 4/25/06 -  On time, they were everywhere this AM.

Gray Catbird    - 4/25/06 - On time

Good birding!
