We did a little scouting in western Shenandoah Co. today. We found 2 new spots
for BC Chickadees, a few miles from where we usually find them (all on Tibbit's
Knob Rd). Next, we found a new spot for RH Woodpecker. We also came upon a
good-sized flock of Pipits.
Totals for the day (all in Shenandoah Co):
Red-tailed Hawk - 7
Kestrel - 5
RED-HEADED WP - 2 (at least)
BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE - 7 (never went to our usual spot)
PIPIT - 150+ (looked hard for Larks or Longspurs)
