Hi all,
Attached you will find results of beach survey done on Nov 23 and
impoundment survey done on Nov 24. We've got a lot of ducks now! The Common
Loons have arrived too. Also, there are Dunlin both on the beach and
occasionally in the impoundments or bay when the mud flats are exposed.
False Cape East was burned and disced; then we observed 10 Dunlin in there.
The highlight of the month occurred at False Cape State Park where Bob
Schandeimeier and I watched an American Kestral go after a Merlin. Guess who
won?
Many, many thanks to Bob Schandeimeier who helped with every impoundment
survey this month. Also, thanks to Marijo Bogue for her assistance.
