[va-bird] Avocets at Craney Island

This morning (7/26) there was a nice group of 23 American Avocets in the
southwest corner of the north impoundment at Craney Island in Portsmouth,
VA. Other birds seen along the west side of Craney include Gull-billed,
Royal, Least, and Forster's Terns, Black Skimmer, Semipalmated Plover,
Short-billed Dowitcher, Willet, and a few Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers.
Land birds seen included Blue Grosbeak, Chat, Brown-headed Nuthatch, and
Bobwhite. Let's hope the recent rains continue for a while.
