Does anyone know at what age American Crows start to breed? Last year we
had an American Crow family nesting in the vicinity, and they raised three
young. They appeared to stay together as a family for quite a while after the
young were well grown, and we had many entertaining moments watching the young
ones emulate the adults in learning such skills as soaking bread in water.
Now we regularly see the three youngsters together (no sign of the parents),
so it seems like they are adolescents not ready to breed.
