This is an update on the Arlington Rufous Hummingbird. He was last observed on
Monday, December 16exactly a month after his arrival. We awoke that morning to
warm temps (our high for the day), only to have the day get progressively
colder.
I managed to convince a couple of greenhouses to ship some winter-blooming
hummer flowers, but the little bugger split before he could sample any of them!
The month he spent in my yard was such a glorious time, and I enjoyed meeting a
number of you who went to the trouble of coming by to see him.
