I realize that DC is not VA, but I think it's close enough for a question!
I just heard a report on NPR about the West Nile Virus that suggested that:
"the reason you don't see any crows around Washington, is because they've all
been killed by West Nile."
I haven't really been paying attention to crows or lack there of, but I was
wondering if anyone has noticed a decline in crow numbers.
I remember a year or two ago there was a lot of talk on this list about crow
roosts (where they were, the number of roosting birds, etc.). Does anyone
know if these roosts are still active? Are the numbers down by an order of
magnitude or two?
Any thoughts or comments?
