[va-bird] Re: Another Possible Ivorybill Siting

Cinclodes had his first IBWO encounter down there six
years ago. At the time, he thought the calls that he
heard matched the written description, but he was not
aware that any recordings existed. He causually
mentioned that he heard something interesting in a
post to VA Birds. A few weeks later, he heard the
recordings, realized that he had indeed heard an IBWO,
and kept his mouth shut for several years lest he be
labeled a Bigfoot chaser. He finally told Jerome
Jackson after reading his fabulous book. When the news
came from Arkansas, he was inspired to return to the
Pearl for a serious search.

By the way, I am Cinclodes and those birds are most
definitely there. Unless they move to a different
area, I will probably have hard evidence very soon.
I'm glad to hear that you are excited about the news.
I am also very excited, but there is still much work
to do. I need to convince the powers that be that the
birds are really there. That may prove to be harder
than it was to find them.
