[va-bird] And more nighthawks

Birders,

Inspired by Gabriel Markoff's report of hundreds of starbirds over the pyramids 
(Boone Blvd. and Gallows Rd. in Vienna) last night, Sonia Santa Anna and I 
stopped by tonight at about 9:40. The sky was filled with swirling and soaring 
nighthawks...we could see their brightly lit forms from a distance as we drove 
toward the buildings. There were at least 200 in layers above us...like 
shooting stars...a beautiful mesmerizing sight. It is definitely the time to 
see this spectacle.
