Greetings to all:
This morning the top bird at Staunton River State Park in Halifax Co has to
be the American White Pelican. This is the second white pelican that I have
seen in Halifax Co in just a little or a year. The pelican this morning was
seen from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM from the point in the park were the Dan and
Staunton River meets. Most of the time the bird was swimming around and
feeding.
The location seen today is just nine miles as the crow flies from the
location where I found a white pelican in May 2004.

RB Gull - 25
DC Cormorant - 3
Osprey - 1
GY Legs - 4
LY Legs - 15
Pictorial Sandpiper - 15
Sanderling - 18
GB Heron - 10
G Egret - 15
