VA Birders,
An hour of birding in the Stuarts Draft/Fishersville area of Augusta County
this afternoon (15 Sep.) produced 7 American Golden-Plovers in a cattle pasture
along Rt. 652 (west of Rt. 608 just north of Stuarts Draft). The birds were
initially in a field with Killdeer on the south side of the road, but they flew
across the road and disappeared over a hill to the northeast, toward Rt. 648
(though I was unable to relocate them along 648).
