I birded Algonkian Park and Golf Course in Loudoun County for 3-4 hours this
morning. The area around the flag pole, across the street from the course
maintenance building was particularly active with birds including 2
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks; Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, and
Yellow-rumped Warblers, and Ruby-crowned kinglets. A flock of maybe 500 Common
Grackles was traveling around the park, and two adult Bald Eagles were perched
in a tree across the river from the boat ramp. Birds I observed include:
