I checked the Hunting Creek flats (next to the George Washington Parkway, just
south of the Beltway) a couple of hours after low tide on Sunday evening.
Shorebird numbers were disappointing. Kurt Gaskill joined me for part of the
period (and found the Blue-winged Teal while I was busy counting Laughing
Gulls).
