[va-bird] Alexandria Shorebirds

After finding a few shorebirds at Huntley Meadows (1 Pectoral and 6-8 Least
SP), I checked the Stone Bridge at Hunting Creek. I was
there at mid-tide from 2:30-5:00.

Best bird was a single SB DOWITCHER. The bird was feeding in one spot for over
1/2 hr, out on the mudflat between the bridge and the
channel, when eventually I saw it fly around for a few minutes, calling in
flight, thus the ID.

Other shorebirds were typical: 3 G Yellowlegs, a few Lesser, and a small amount
of Least SP.

Aside from that, there were 2 Caspian Terns and lots of Forster's. I picked out
only 2 immature Forster's in the group. No Snowy
Egret, but gulls galore.
