Hi All,
I understand that John Fox and Brenda Tekin had brief looks at an Aechmophorus
genus grebe (Western/Clark's) off Pleasant's Landing at Lake Anna, Loiusa Co on
Sunday (1/16). Unfortunately, they did not get a good enough look to nail it
down to species. Chris Elliott and John Strong (the guys who originally found
this bird and ID'd it as a Western based on extent of black on the face) looked
for but did not relocate the grebe today (Mon 1/17). I will go looking for the
grebe Tuesday afternoon and will report my findings to VA-Bird.
