[va-bird] Accotink Bay/ Ft. Belvoir Access (Faifax Co.)

This may be a little off purpose for the va-bird list serve but I would
like to get a long term visitors pass to Ft. Belvoir, so I don't have to
go through the security routine every time. Accotink Bay is a wonderful
birding site with a very low key, low traffic scene. The two times I
have been there I practically had the whole place to myself.

Ft. Belvoir provides for long term visitors passes. The first time I was
there their literature said just write a letter. So I wrote a letter and
went back and they gave me a form saying I needed a sponsor from the
base.

Are there any Va birders at Ft. Belvoir who would sponsor me (or a whole
bunch of us)?  Maybe the Northern Virginia Bird Club could negotiate
something. I  am often traveling up I-95 with a little time to spare for
birding, and go to Julie Metz or Mason Neck or somewhere like that
because getting on Ft. Belvoir is too time consuming.
