VA Birders,
In my last posting, I forgot to mention a late CHIMNEY SWIFT, which I saw
at Fort C.F. Smith Park, Arlington, on Oct. 28. According to the old
"Bluebook" (the Annotated List of Virginia Birds), the late date for this
species is
Oct 15.
Today, Oct. 31, my best birds at the park were a BLUE-HEADED VIREO at the
Bird Stream, a RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH, and a PURPLE FINCH.
