While not earth shattering by any means, I had Horned Grebe (15),
Pied-billed Grebe (1), and Red-necked Grebe (1) all in one scope view from
my kitchen overlooking the Nansemond River this AM. The RNGR appears to be
the same individual that I first saw back on March 10th.
Also today, the first Royal Tern of the year was spotted over the Nansemond.
Hearing the Royals & the Laughing Gulls call in early spring is one reason I
LOVE to live on the river!
Lastly, I enjoyed scope views of a pair of Ospreys dive-bombing an adult
Bald Eagle perched in a tree across the river.
Enjoy spring!
