[va-bird] 3 Common Loons at Smith Mtn. Lake

Was visiting at Smith Mtn. Lake over the weekend and saw the first loons of  
the season in cove where my daughter lives.  She had not seen any since  last 
spring when 20 loons played in her cove for two days just before  migrating.  
Also present were 2 coots, 3 pied billed grebes and a great  blue heron who 
sat on the roof of the boat dock all afternoon with one leg up  and it's head 
tucked under it's wing.  Napping in the sun I think.
