Hi all,
I have just a small townhouse yard, so I don't get new yard birds too often.
But I added two in a span of about 10 seconds this afternoon. First, there
were two Eastern Bluebirds in my platform feeder. (Aside: I got a
bluebird-shaped garden decoration this morning for Christmas and put it out
in the yard a couple hours ago, just about 10 feet from the feeders.
Coincidence? I don't think so...)
Then I looked up into some trees behind my house to see a Red-Shouldered
Hawk being hassled by a bunch of crows.
Also today were two Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers in the woods behind the house.
Merry Christmas everyone!
