"Just Being Together"
Vevay Davis and Soliel
Basket was packed, holodeck booked, blanket set on top of the basket, time off
sorted... now all Vevay needed was Soliel. She'd arranged for them to have a
picnic because she desperately wanted them to have a normal relationship and
she vaguely remembered picnics were a part of that. Sighing lightly, she
perched on her couch and tried not to twiddle her thumbs.
She couldn't help but smile as she ran a brush through her short hair. It had
been awhile since she'd had a day off and even longer since she and Vevay had
had one together. It was going to be nice spending the afternoon alone on the
holodeck no matter what the setting. Stepping away from the mirror, Soliel
padded over to the bed and slipped on her little strappy shoes and then
smoothed out her dress a bit more. Then she grabbed her sweater and headed for
the living room.
Glancing up, Vevay beamed and blushed. Her love was so very beautiful. "You
look lovely! I feel a little under-dressed now," she teased, in her jeans and
short sleeved t-shirt.
Soliel looked down at her just above the knee dark cream colored summer dress
and then up at Vevay. "Don't be silly." She smiled as she walked over and put
her arms around Vevay's neck. "I love the way you look in a nice pair of jeans."
Vevay snorted as she nuzzled Soliel's throat. "Lovely lady," she sighed. "We
could always stay here?"
"Oh no." Soliel sighed as she titled her head to the side to give Vevay better
access. "We're getting you out of this cabin for a change."
Kissing down Soliel's neck, she nipped her lightly. "I get out... I don't work
here, you know."
Soliel pulled away and turned her lover towards the desk in the corner of the
room which was covered in PADDs, data solids, and two working terminals. "Wanna
try that one again?"
"Okay, okay, but I do leave here sometimes," Vevay insisted. "Besides, I like
my cabin, it's cozy, especially with you."
Turning Vevay back around so they were facing each other, Soliel leaned in and
kissed her softly. "We're still going to the holodeck, Imzadi. You put a lot of
effort into this and I won't allow it to be wasted."
Kissing her love, Vevay sighed dramatically. "Fine," she huffed. "Be that way.
Just so long as I can bring you back here after."
Soliel titled her head to the side and gave Vevay her most innocent look. "And
what will we do here that we can't do out there?"
"As long as we lock the door to the holodeck," Vevay purred, "absolutely
nothing."
Taking Vevay by the hand, Soliel pulled her over to where the basket was and
picked it up. "Wow it's heavy." She laughed as she pulled them towards the
door. She knew if they stayed much longer they'd never leave.
"Of course, I packed lots of food, lots of alcohol and not a whole lot of
anything healthy," Vevay laughed. "It's my day off and I don't see why I have
to be healthy."
Soliel laughed and relaxed, slowing her pace so she could walk close to Vevay.
"You don't today and if we work it out right tonight then you won't even have
to do the extra workout tomorrow."
"Promises, promises," Vevay teased. "Who said we had to wait though
"Me." Soliel teased as she stepped into the turbo lift and smiled brightly.
Vevay stuck out her bottom lip in a pout. "Make a poor old lady wait all day?"
Soliel tried really hard not to laugh and even harder to keep a straight face.
She adored this open and playful side of Vevay and it made her feel as if she
were someone special to be one of a very few to see it. "Well okay I could make
an old lady wait but the only old lady I know of who's onboard is McCarthy and
she's really not my taste."
Raising her eyebrows, Vevay stared at Soliel with mirth sparkling in her eyes.
"You looked though?"
"Once," Soliel admitted with a very light pink blush. "maybe twice, in passing,
at a party I went to with Ronni."
Vevay poked Soliel, then pulled her tight against her. "As long as you only
look," she whispered before she kissed her very gently.
"Looked, ed, past tense." Soliel replied as she kissed her back. "No need to do
that anymore."
"Why did you feel you had to back then?" Vevay asked as she cuddled her lovely
girl.
Soliel bit her lip as she thought about it. "Ronni liked to catch me looking."
She answered softly, her cheeks coloring a little more.
Vevay instantly blushed when she realised why and decided not to delve any
deeper. That was a little bit too much information. As the door swished opened,
she guided Soliel to the holodeck. "I... I honestly don't mind..." she blushed
even brighter.
"Good to know but I still don't think I will." Soliel replied as she looked
away from Vevay's blush. "You can appreciate someone's beauty without ogling."
"Um... yes..." Pulling Soliel into the holodeck, she ordered the computer to
load the program of Yellowstone National Park. "I.. er.. came here when I was
training."
Soliel looked around and smiled warmly. "Lucky, I got stuck in Antarctica." She
laughed as she put her arm around Vevay's waist. She thought Vevay was just to
cute when she got this way but wished it hadn't been her bringing up her past
that had done it.
"Antarctica has beauty," Vevay teased lightly. "It's sweepingly glaciel and...
cold and... snowy and... cold."
"Cold takes on a new meaning for a kid fresh from Betazed." Soliel laughed. "I
hadn't ever seen snow until then."
Drawing Soliel down a path that led into a forest, Vevay laughed lightly. "Snow
balls are kinda out when you have to wear environmental suits."
"Snowballs?" Soliel asked as she smiled at a little grey rabbit that was hidden
behind a tree.
"You don't know what a snowball is?" Vevay asked, slightly shocked.
Soliel blushed again. "Betazed is a warm clement planet."
"Oh well, we have to have a snowball fight then," Vevay laughed. "Make snowmen
then hide in a cabin somewhere and have hot chocolate and marshmellows."
"That sounds lovely!" Soliel giggled. "Can we do that on our next day off?"
"Absolutely!" Vevay grinned as they arrived at a clearing where she pulled
Soliel. "For now, we eat!"
Soliel looked around again. It was all so breathtaking and it made her wish
she'd had the change to travel more while she was on Earth. The upside to this
of course was that now she would get to explore all these placing with her
Imzadi. "This is perfect, V."
"It's nice, not as lovely as Scotland or Wales, but very nice," Vevay said
softly as she drew Soliel onto the blanket she'd just laid down. Pulling the
basket toward her, she peered inside. "We have... potted meat, ginger ale,
pickled onions, pork pie, scotch eggs, sausage rolls, tuna sandwiches, egg and
cress sandwiches, raspberry and blackcurrent jam sandwiches, cheese and pickle
sandwiches, ham sandwiches, beef sandwiches, plain old salad sandwiches..."
Biting her bottom lip, Vevay tried to remember all that she'd packed into her
basket. "There's also chocolate cake, dundee cake, shortbread, cheese and
biscuits and strawberries and cream." Laughing loudly at the huge long list,
Vevay said with a glint in her eyes, "Cold tongue, cold ham, cold beef, pickled
gherkins, salad, french rolls, cress sandwiches, ginger beer, lemonade,
sodawater..."
Soliel blinked and laughed as well. "No wonder it was heavy." She teased as she
looked over at the basket. "Computer activate privacy lock on holodeck doors."
She called out before one of the ginger beers. "Well have to make sure to keep
ourselves hungry."
Eyes sparkling, Vevay ignored the food for just a moment as she took Soliel's
chin in her hands and kissed her tenderly. "Yes," she breathed over her lips,
"so we must. I do love you, Imzadi."
"I have never doubted that my love." Soliel said softly, her eyes half closed.
"I love you too."
Sighing softly, Vevay cuddled Soliel tightly. "I could stay this way forever."
Slipping her arms around Vevay's neck, Soliel slipped onto her lap, and then
kissed her. We have a life time of days like this, Imzadi.
Vevay kept up the kiss, not ever wanting it to end. Never leave... please,
never leave.
I am yours always, Vevay. I'm not going anywhere.
Finally pulling away reluctantly, Vevay reached over and pulled one of the
wrapped packets of sandwiches for them to try. As she eased open the paper, she
smiled. "Ham, I love ham."
Soliel laughed as she took part of one of the sandwiches, broke off a piece of
it and held it up for Vevay to take. "Are you calling me a ham?" She teased.
"Hmm, let me taste you," Vevay winked, "then I could tell you."
"After all this time you still don't know how I taste?" Being so open and able
to tease was new to Soliel and although she always flushed a lovely pale pink,
she enjoyed it.
"Maybe I have a short memory," Vevay grinned as she leaned forward and kissed
her love. "Mmm, no, not ham. Sweet, soft and lovely."
Pushing gently on Vevay's shoulders, Soliel smiled as she pressed Vevay's back
against the blanket. Leaning down she kissed her lover's lips and then worked
her way down to her neck. "And your strong, gentle, and divine."
"Not divine," Vevay breathed as she arched slightly toward Soliel. "Just human."
Soliel pulled back and looked down into Vevay's eyes. "To me my love you are,
though only human, divine."
Shaking her head, Vevay frowned at Soliel. "I don't understand that." She
reached up to brush at her lover's hair, letting it slip through her fingers.
It was so very soft, so lovely.
"I know that your flawed, Vevay. So am I. Everyone is. But I love you, all of
you, even the flaws, and that makes you perfect to me." She explained as she
caressed Vevay's cheeks.
"I guess that makes us even," Vevay smiled warmly, her fingers drifting down
Soliel's back. "You are my perfect lady."
Soliel smiled a crooked goofy smile. "I can't remember the last time anyone
called me a lady without it coming after "your just a" and ending in "marine.""
"That's something we both have to be," Vevay said softly. "But you are a lady
too."
"Remind me of that the next time I yelling out a string of profanities." Soliel
laughed as she leaned down again and kissed Vevay's forehead, her nose, her
chin, and then her lips.
Vevay's eyes flickered closed and she hummed with content. "But you do it so
elegantly," she chuckled as her hands slid up and under Soliel's skirt.
Soliel laughed. "Swearing with grace?"
"Swearing with class."
"I'll have to remember that one." Smirking as she looked into Vevay's eyes, she
focused on her the warmth of her lover's hands against her skin and then
smiled, her eyes dancing. "I wonder what strawberries, cream, and Vevay tastes
like."
Crinkling her forehead, Vevay felt a smirk grow. "Want to find out?"
Soliel nodded as she began pulled Vevay into a sitting position so she could
pull her t-shirt off. She kissed her while she removed her lover's bra, and
then slipped her hand into the basket to retrieve the bowl of berries and
cream. "I love our days off." She purred as she pushed her lover back down and
then dropped a cream covered strawberry between her breasts.
Squeaking slightly, Vevay wriggled. "Cold," she laughed. "So very cold."
"Then let me warm you up, Imzadi." Soliel replied with a gleam in her dancing
green eyes.
Grinning broadly, Vevay slid her hands over Soliel's hips, pulling her dress up
slowly. Her lover's skin was silky under her gentle fingers. She tickled and
teased Soliel with her grin getting wider. "Please."
Soliel never liked being so ticklish until now. The way Vevay tickled her was
playful and sweet and she liked it. Leaning down Soliel licked the cream from
around the berry slowly, her hands trailing down Vevay's sides. When she was
finished with the cream she took a small bit of the berry and smiled as she
kissed Vevay's lips, strawberry juice and sweet cream lingering on her own.
"Mmm," Vevay murmured, "you taste so good." Slowly, she undressed Soliel with
soft fingers. "So beautiful."
"Remember that too for when I'm old and my hair's gone silver and I've
wrinkled." She replied as she eased down her lover's body, making sure to take
jeans down with her.
"You will never be old to me," Vevay gasped as her lover moved. "You will
always be perfect and lovely."
Once her lover was as naked as she was Soliel worked her way back up Vevay's
body. She smiled tenderly as she caressed her lover's face. "My strong hard
marine with the heart and soul of a hopeless romantic."
"Just an old romantic, eh?" Vevay laughed as she wriggled down to take Soliel's
breasts in her mouth, teasing each at a time. Her hands drew lines over her
back in slow, gentle, wide curves.
"I never said old." Soliel huffed before her eyes fluttered closed and a soft
moan tickled the back of her throat.
"No, I did," Vevay grinned before she planted soft kisses down between her
lover's breasts to her navel. As she moved lower, so did her hands, cupping
Soliel's buttocks and squeezing before stroking down her thighs.
She would have protested with another pointed huff but her brain was no longer
aware of how to do such an act. "You are not old." She finally managed to
breath out.
"There are times," Vevay paused in her ministrations, "when I feel it."
"There are times," Soliel repeated as she moved down so they were once again
face to face, "that we all do."
"But I do love you, even when I know I am old." I need you to know that.
Pulling Soliel down, she cuddled her tightly.
Soliel held Vevay lovingly, her mind caressing her lover's. I know you do,
Imzadi, I know.
