Three is the Magic Number... The first thing that came to T'Shana's mind when her eyes blinked open was,'These aren't my quarters.' As she scanned her immediate surrounding, noting the three empty Romulan Ale bottles lying around on the floor, the second one was, 'Now I know why my head hurts.' And finally, as she could feel a weight on her body, she saw an arms draped over her hips, the third thought,'And, that's not my arm.' She resisted the initial urge to just jump up and check who in the galaxy she was lying in bed with. Then it occurred to her that she apparently was naked, for her clothing was scattered all over the floor as well. She sighed inaudibly, 'Must have been on heck of a night.' Night? T'Shana searched her mind. Was it night now, or morning, or midday, or what? She had no concept of time at the moment. But she suddenly realized she could feel the hum of the warp engines. They were on the move. Definitely. To where, she did not know. 'Think, T'Shana, what is the last thing you reme.... oooohhhhh..... Steve!' She turned her head very very slowly and carefully to her left, peering at the person lying against her back. In the corner of her eye she could make out the handsome features of the bartender, unshaven chin and disheveled, dark hair and all. Oh yes, now she remembered. The supply room. The three bottles of hidden Romulan Ale. His passionate kisses. Their wild abandon as they surrendered to their urges, satisfying their desires to the full... 'Stop it!' T'Shana reprimanded herself. 'It wasn't THAT memorable,' she told her mind to get the images that she had begun recalling from continuing to play out. Once again, her eyes moved over to the empty bottles lying on the floor. After their initial encounter, they had shared a bottle in the supply room. Then, Steve had suggested to take the rest to his quarters and perhaps share one more bottle, before T'Shana would have to leave and take the rest with her. But one shared bottle had turned into two and then three. She groaned in her mind, as the memory of it suddenly made her realize that her head was still throbbing. Lying perfectly still for a moment, she listened to Steve's rhythmic breathing. He seemed to be sound asleep. Ever so slowly, T'Shana slid out from under his arm and the covers. Stealthily, she proceeded to gather her clothing. Cringing for a second, when the door of his bedroom hissed open, she glanced back at him, hoping she had not roused him from sleep. But he simply moaned softly and turned to his other side. The door hissed shut, after she had stepped out.'Whew!' In the adjacent room, she quickly threw her clothing on, though it seemed she was missing some of her undergarments. She shrugged it off. It didn't matter right now. So long as she had her dress and shoes. She quickly ran her fingers through her slightly mangled, long hair to straighten it somewhat. Moments later, T'Shana cautiously snuck out of the room, careful not to be seen, and headed as fast as she could without running to the next turbolift. "Computer, we are traveling?" "Affirmative. Ship is moving at warp 7." The lift door closed. "Heading?" "Back to Starzen territory." "I should have figured... time?" "ETA will be..." "No no, Computer. What time is it now?" "1849 hours." "Oh boy...," T'Shana mumbled, rubbing her temples. "Deck 4," she ordered. Almost a day had passed since she had walked into the lounge! It was high time she got back to her own quarters. "Knowledge becomes wisdom only after it has been put to practical use."
