Hi all,
Please think positive thoughts for me, beginning about 7 PM CDT, that would
be 22:00 UTC, on Friday as I take to the chessboard at the Mid-America Open
Chess Tournament in St. Louis. It's a five-round Swiss, 40/100 time control
with SD/30, that's sudden death in 30 minutes, to finish up if needed. There
is a 10-second delay throughout. This will be my second experience playing
with a delay factor. What's left of me should get back home some time Monday
afternoon. We should have a Chess Gather next Friday. I don't know yet if
we'll be in Chess Castle on TeamTalk or in Salon 6, which seems to be
working again. I was in there briefly this afternoon and the connection
seemed to be fine; although there was no one there to talk to, so-how can I
really know for sure. (Smile)
