Here is the job description: General Summary Plans, designs, conducts and participates in major geographic information system (GIS) development and analysis projects; serves as a technical lead in GIS technology and applications; performs related work. Principle Duties and Responsibilities · Provides spatial mapping support to exploration, land, engineering and geology personnel. · Creates and manipulates maps in ESRI based GIS environment. · Works closely with various Business Units to provide maps and plats. · Works closely with Lease & Contracts to ensure data integrity and accurate mapping. · Researches and creates lease polygons for input into geo-database. · Works with and understands platting and surveying methods. · Researches digital and paper files to determine legal descriptions for lease, contracts and minerals. · Takes map requests from GIS Manager. · Monitors plotters, changes out paper and pens and required. · Trims and splices maps as needed. · Provides user support – analysis, data conversions, cartography and data loading. · Special projects. · Mentors and trains GIS Analyst Job Specifications · Associates degree or High School diploma and additional equivalent experience · Three or more years Land, Cartographic or GIS · Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry · Ability to work independently · Attention to detail · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · Ability to initiate and maintain satisfactory working relationships with other departments · Knowledge of ESRI applications Thanks, H Heather Roesink | GIS Services Supervisor Noble Energy, Inc. | 1625 Broadway, Suite 2200, Denver, CO 80202 Phone: 303.228.4074 | email: hroesink@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | www.nobleenergyinc.com The information contained in this e-mail and any attachments may be confidential.
