Actually, I think that would have been an extremely
good idea, considering it's still damn near impossible
to find Macross 7 in the US or any of the movies. if
anything it would make the original versions easier to
get at since people actually know of their existence
through robotech, and that would make my life easier
^_^. 

Really, about the only problem Macross pursists have
with Robotech is when people get them mixed up or when
they start to cross into each other's turf. Robotech
actually started this feud by buturing Minmei, Harmony
gold made it worse by refusing to distribute anything
Macross related without the word "Robotech" in the
title. Maybe I stand alone among Macross pursits, but
I for one wouldn't mind too much as long as people
understand which one came first.
