It's simple. In the 2nd generation series (aka Southern Cross) you see three
mounds. As Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross was originally not related
to Macross at all storywise, Macek just invented a second SDF that was
destroyed during Khyron's suicide run on christmas eve. That makes three
capital ships grounded at the same location. SDF-1, SDF-2 and Khyron's
cruiser. Add some radiation leaking from the wrecked ships, and tadaa, you
have a reason for three mounds in the SC storyline (which is supposed to
take place in New Macross city and Monument City, remember?).

OMG, you said it. OK, folks, it's been nice talking to you guys. The
armageddon has just been summoned. Wes, if there are any Macross purists on
this list, they're probably gonna kick your ass now... =)) I wonder if Dan
(Echo Witch, the owner of the other UN Spacy Database, also a member of this
list) will say about that...

Oh, BTW, you know that Megazone 23 Parts 1 & 2 were indeed made into
"Robotech The Movie"?
