K: No, there is a big diference. In Robotech the Master were disappearing a
the moment the series biggins and the Zentradi were resiving orders from
them. In Macross the Protoculture extintion was a lot before the series
biggining so the Zentradi has a lot of time to act in their own.
And yes, they need that war machine to destroy the supervision army and as
we can see the destruction of a Satellite Factory means the end of a mecha,
for example, we know that the Factory were the Glaug was produced was
destroyed by the Supervision Army and that's why there are few Glaugs. If
there where someone repairing the Zentradi ships, why they stop producing
the Glaug insted of biggin the production in other Satellite? The answer is
easy, there where no one out there, just the automated Factories.

K: As Kyle has said the Zentradi where inteligent and they have the ability
to learn, after all they where soldiers and a soldier without the ability to
learn is a bad soldier. They must know what fire is, they where in contact
with their machins and they use fire (the propulsion system is an example of
fire). They have the materials and the inteligence to discover it.

K: And what's the diferenc? Kill an enemy or kill an animal. The modern war
is just the evolution of hunting, the humans learn to embush someone cuz
ower ancestors embush animals. A Zentradi that know how to kill someone has
the perfect knowledge to hunt something. I can imagine a couple of Zentradi
soldiers in the wildness with no food and an mission to acomplish, they kill
and animal and the instinct will do the rest, after all the Zentradi where
desing by the Protoculture to follow their instinct instead of their
inteligence (at leas in the case of a soldier, don't know about the
commanders).
