   The Inspection Force existed BEFORE the creation of the 
ProtoDevlin, and then the PD took them over, and made them into 
brainwashed slaves. With the advent of Macross 7 I think there was a 
slight change in what the IF were about. What little info there was, 
andsome still-shots definitely identified that the SDF-1 Macross was 
an IF ship, and they possessed variable technology. 
     But the IF were DEFINITELY not giants, they were micronians as 
was the rest of the PC. But I can entertain the notion  that the IF were 
maybe clones, but I'm not sure 'cause it was in DYRL when the 
computer explained that the PC was biuoogicla men and women who 
made a clone army of giants.

     At least in DYRL, they show that some high command have those. 
They may be some sort of sensor/monitor thing. It was Robotech that 
said he, Breetai, was wounded, and given a prosthetic as a badge-of-
honor/scarlet-letter, by the Masters. 
    In Macross I don't think it's ever addressed.

      Yeah sure, but the vast hordes of tens of billions of Zentradi did 
not get there food by hunting. Maybe a few who were shot down here 
and there over time, just as I'm sure there would have been a 
Zentradi/Meltrandi love story out there on some deserted world or 
something, but exceptions aren't the rule. It could not have been SOP 
that the Z would land and hunt for food. The question is how do the 
Zentradi get food, on a regular basis.  Perhaps they demanded bio-
mass from their conquered worlds, and those worlds would provide 
plant/animal matter that the factories would reprocessed into Z food.
   Hey, I never thought of that....to get the raw bio-mass for the zentradi 
army they would have had to have stripped hundreds of worlds of all 
organic matter. This starts me getting more back into Robotech and 
imagining how the Master's ran the Empire.
