[UNSDB] Upcoming Robotech Game

Has anyone any first hands experience and can tell us something about the
Robotech Game?

I checked out some articles and some threads on Macrossworld and it looks
like everybody thinks it's gonna be good. Well, I dunno since I have only
seen a coupla screenshots but actually, aside from the nice lighting
effects, the graphics look pretty, well,  ... crappy. The buildings look
like they were designed in a candy store, pink orange and purple. Yuck! And
what about the innovative mecha graphics? Am I really the only one to whom
the look sort of two dimensional? From all screenshots I have seen so far I
would say that they are sprite-based not 3D Models. Note the black outlines
along the sides of the shape (Battlepod and Valkyrie for example).

I mean, I'm probably gonna buy it when it comes out for PC which I'm pretty
sure it will, as X-Box architecture is pretty close to the PC. (on the other
hand the BW/Tatsunoko/HG dispute comes to my mind again, I wonder how that
will interfere with the game?)
BUT, in my opinion, the folks at Mattel Interactive could learn a lot from
the designers of "Shogo: Mobile Armor Division". Just my two cents.
