As far as I know, there are few other pictures other
than the ones in the Palladium releases. (That's still

Nobody knows for sure what happened to SDF-2.
Officially, all transmissions with the ship were lost
as it approached the center of the galaxy. It's one of
the great mysteries of the Macross universe. There are
a couple of fanfics floating around out there (mine is
by far the most extensive) and many different theories
but so far nothing official from Studio-Nue.

There are MANY macross class ships floating around in
the galaxy, and during the Macross series, Britai's
battleship passed the wreckage of one on the factory
satellite operation. It had been destroyed very
recently, as Exodor said, I think within the last few
months.

The Supervision Army is still active in the galaxy
evenn after Macross 7. There are hundreds of thousands
of ships still at large in the galaxy, just as there
are hundreds of thousnads of Zentradi ships out there
fighting them. (In the original Macross series, Hikaru
and Misa see a massive battle from a distance near
Bodolza's flagship between the Zentradi and the
Supervision Army. You can see it in Robotech too, but
for some reason they don't say anything about it.)
Where the Supervision Army goes, the Zentradi fleets
will always follow.

There is no cannon history about the Macross, but if
there were it wouldn't be very interesting. Simply
put, the Macross was one of many gunboats for the
Supervision Army. The ship was probably crippled in
battle with the Bodolza fleet and rigged as a
boobytrap and sent on autopilot to a pre-set location
in space to await the passing of any Zentradi fleets.
Britai's fleet happened to pick up it's defold
reaction about 10 light years away and came in
pursuit, and destroying the ship would have been
standard proceedure. UN Spacy managed to combine their
existing nuclear weapons technology with
Overtechnology found in the ship and created the
Reactive weapons, which they later used against the
Zentradi uppon their arrival in the system. Britai
recognized the reactive weapons for what they were and
only then realized the value of the ship and set off
on a long campaign to capture the ship and gain that
advanced weapons technology to get an edge against the
Supervision Army. And the rest is Macross...
