[UNSDB] Question about the HG and the rights to Robotech

This must have been asked before somewhere but I didn't read it, so maybe
one of you guys knows the answer.

Since the decision of the Japanese court that the international rights to
Macross belong to Big West it is clear that Tatsunoko didn't have the right
to sell Macross to Harmony Gold in the first place...

But what does that change for Harmony Gold? I mean, they could claim they
bought them legally, without knowing about the problematic legal situation
at the time of purchase (probably true).
Can Big West just say "Well, bad luck." and sue them anyways? In how far is
it Harmony Gold's problem that they purchased the rights from Tatsunoko? If
anybody has to pay, then it is probably IMO Tatsunoko, not HG...
