Dear TV Freelancer,
What difference has the TV Wrap campaign made to freelancers' working lives?
We'd like to hear your views and experiences.
Next Friday 9th June at BAFTA in London, this is one of the subjects being
debated at the Freelances' Fair by representatives from PACT, TV Wrap,
unions, broadcasters and the Production Managers' Association. We'd like to
hear of any changes in working conditions you may or may not have noticed as
a direct result of the campaign, so that we can provide an informed
background to the debate; of course your anonymity will be respected.
As you probably remember, the TV Wrap campaign highlighted issues of illegal
employment practice, especially (but not exclusively) affecting entry-level
grades. These issues included unpaid work, breaches of the national minimum
wage, long hours, and denial of paid holiday entitlement. How did your
employers react to the campaign at the time? Did employment practices or
policies change as a result of the campaign? Or are bad working practices
still persisting? Please help us to keep these issues active - you can email
us at <mailto:info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or post
your experiences/comments in our forum here:

Or, of course, please come to the Freelances Fair in person at BAFTA, 195
Piccadilly, London - there are still a few places available for
pre-registration - more info here:
