Dear TV Freelancer,
Welcome to those of you who've signed up within the last week or so, as
a result of productionbase's mailout. Our numbers have been boosted
nicely - in fact we now have well over eleven hundred freelancers on
this mailing list, and it's growing all the time. There are just a
couple of things to remind you about.
The first is that we'd like you to contribute more entries of your own
to the databases. We've had a fantastic response in terms of people
signing up to use them, but activity in terms of new entries is
understandably a little slower. Remember it's all anonymous, and
personal details such as username or email address are never shown
alongside your entries.
Secondly, Martin Spence, from BECTU, has offered to arrange a meeting
for any of our users - BECTU members or not - interested in a discussion
about the union's activities with regard to freelancers. Whether you're
a BECTU fan, deeply critical, or just curious about the union, this is a
chance to tell Martin what you would like to see BECTU doing. If you are
interested in attending, please click 'reply' to this message to let us
know, and help us plan the event. Thanks to those who've already
responded.
Martin has posted in the forum at
http://pub72.ezboard.com/fuktvfreelancersfrm4
and it's in the topic called: "Oh...sorry we've filled the post...."
(his message is on page 2 so you'll have to click through to the end of
the thread)
Many thanks again for all your support,
