Dear TV Freelancer,
There's now a new forum on the website at www.tvfreelancers.org.uk. This
forum has been created to enable you to share and access information
about actual current freelance rates. It's subdivided by job grade, so
whether you're a producer or a runner, you can now find out what your
colleagues are earning - and what you can reasonably expect to ask for
when you enter negotiations.
As you know, one of the aims in setting up our site was to give
individual TV professionals the information they need to negotiate
contracts from a position of greater strength. With this new forum,
we've taken another step towards this goal.
Please help us boost the value of this forum by visiting it and posting
information about current or recent rates that you have earned - which
of course you can do anonymously. It's very easy to post a new message
to the forum; you don't need to register or remember a password, and you
can enter whatever username you choose.
You can follow this link to go directly to the new forum:

Welcome also to the many people that have signed up to this mailing list
since our last message. If this is your first message, and you want to
catch up on news from previous messages, you can do so via the web
archive at

Best wishes
