The Cincinnati Police report an armed robbery occurred at approximately
1:00 AM on September 3rd in the area of Jefferson Ave. and Bishop St.
The suspect is described as a Male Black 20 - 25 years of age, 200 lbs,
with a long "Afro" hairstyle, wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans.
The suspect passed the victim, then turned and approached the victim
from behind; displayed a gun, grabbed the victim's purse from her
shoulder and ran west on Jefferson toward Ludlow Ave.
Cincinnati Police request that anyone with information regarding this
offense please contact Detective Meyer at 352-3578 or call Crime
Stoppers at 352-3040.
The purposes of these crime alerts are to notify the University
community of incidents that may produce a risk so members of the
community can take appropriate precautions and to request that anyone
with information contact the local police. The University of Cincinnati
Police also have a "tip" line to receive information about criminal
activity. That number is 556-COPS (2677).
