--- University Heights Neighborhood Association - NET Message --------------- I made some suggestions about this some tiime ago. I was concerned that the elimination of through traffic on the north end of mcmicken (cul-de-sac) would further depress efforts to improve that area. Current plans appear to include demolition of the notorious motel there, which I expect would be a big help to nearby property owners. I suggested preserving NB access from McMicken to MLK by having half of McMicken ramp up to meet an elevated intersection already proposed for the area. Additioally, improving and maintaining pedestrian and bike access from Univ Hts to Central Pkwy would ensure that this work doesn't simply create a bigger barrier to accessing Camp Washington's business district on Hopple for UH residents. -----Original Message----- From: Kemper Bjorn <bjorn@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wednesday, Jul 28, 2010 12:49 am Subject: [UHNA] Re: CUf Notes To: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx --- University Heights Neighborhood Association - NET Message --------------- Hi, unfortunately June 29th has passed.. I am wondering if these plans address the fact that it can take forever to turn right onto MLK in the morning when MLK traffic backs up at the Clifton intersection and leaves no space for Riddle traffic to merge. Looking at those plans it doesn't seem so. If the McMicken exit is also eliminated, our access will be limited. Rolf has some ideas for alternatives. We should get our facts together, write some letters and plan to attend the meeting on June 29th -----Original Message----- From: uhna-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:uhna-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Coleman Kane Sent: Tuesday, July 27, 2010 8:44 AM To: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [UHNA] Re: CUf Notes --- University Heights Neighborhood Association - NET Message --------------- You can see the plans on the project website at: http://www.ci.cincinnati.oh.us/noncms/transeng/mlk/ ----------------------- Sent from my Treo(r) smartphone -----Original Message----- From: Paulina Johnson <c_paula_2000@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Tuesday, Jul 27, 2010 9:37 am Subject: [UHNA] Re: CUf Notes To: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Hi Cindy, Thanks for the notes. Do you know what could that mean for Riddle if they change the traffic coming from MLK? Are there any plans that people can see how they are going to change the traffic in our area?
