--- University Heights Neighborhood Association - NET Message --------------- Hi, unfortunately June 29th has passed.. I am wondering if these plans address the fact that it can take forever to turn right onto MLK in the morning when MLK traffic backs up at the Clifton intersection and leaves no space for Riddle traffic to merge. Looking at those plans it doesn't seem so. If the McMicken exit is also eliminated, our access will be limited. Rolf has some ideas for alternatives. We should get our facts together, write some letters and plan to attend the meeting on June 29th -----Original Message----- From: uhna-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:uhna-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Coleman Kane Sent: Tuesday, July 27, 2010 8:44 AM To: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [UHNA] Re: CUf Notes --- University Heights Neighborhood Association - NET Message --------------- You can see the plans on the project website at: http://www.ci.cincinnati.oh.us/noncms/transeng/mlk/ ----------------------- Sent from my Treo(r) smartphone -----Original Message----- From: Paulina Johnson <c_paula_2000@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Tuesday, Jul 27, 2010 9:37 am Subject: [UHNA] Re: CUf Notes To: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Hi Cindy, Thanks for the notes. Do you know what could that mean for Riddle if they change the traffic coming from MLK? Are there any plans that people can see how they are going to change the traffic in our area? Paulina From: Cindy Summers <csummers@xxxxxxxx> To: uhna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thu, July 22, 2010 3:01:05 PM Subject: [UHNA] CUf Notes A few highlights of the CUF meeting last night: Officer Lisa Johnson reported that a person who burglarized an apartment on Riddle was arrested. She is working constantly on the prostitution problem on McMicken. The CUF trustees did not oppose a Music Festival in October in Clifton Heights as long as certain conditions were met. The East McMicken residents reported a little progress on their efforts to provide an alternative to the I-75 plans for their area. Part of the I-75 plans include changing Riddle Road at Clifton at MLK so no left turns. It is my understanding that the current plans will block most northern access. Rolf is going to provide us exact information so we can decide whether to petition the state for a change. Fairview pool is open and people are encouraged to use it or it will close next year. It is very inexpensive. I have some info if anyone wants it. The steeples have been capped on St. George. The church needs extensive work done on the roof and structure. Possible buyer still in progress CUF, Corryville and other neighborhoods are going to participate in a Paint Cincinnati program next year. A group will paint houses of elderly and disabled residents. More details and applications will be sent out. Dan got re-elected as trustee. I don - t know if that is good or bad but he has found it interesting. The group congratulated long term trustees Paul Gallagher, Linda Ziegler and Maureen France who had reached their term limits. All have made major contributions to the community. Rob again congratulated the UHNA for the Wednesdays on the Porch. See you tonight and pray it doesn - t - rain.
