Hello one and all,
This problem is not a function of whether you are using Windows XP, Vista
or Windows 7. It is a function of which Version of Microsoft Office and in
particular which version of Word, you are using. Versions of Word from
1997 to 2003/2004 generate files with a .doc file extension. Versions of
Word from 2007 onwards generate files with a .docx file extension.
If you know someone who has Word 2007, they will be able to convert .docx
files to .doc files.
I hope this is of some help.
Regards,
Mike Sanders
