For folks interested in the question of basic incomes in Canada, the CCPA
just published my long, detailed analysis of the topic within the Canadian
context. It examines poverty and costs of several basic income scenarios.
It looks at what basic incomes already exists, what would happen if we
started cancelling existing programs to fund a basic income and for whom a
basic income would be most effective.
