A good place to start for what vehicles, or at least types of vehicles, are
supported is here: http://www.tunerpro.net/downloadBinDefs.htm
There are also lots of definitions on other sites, such as www.moates.net,
in the file manager:
http://www.moates.net/documentation.php?documentation_id=19
Most vehicle types are supported to some degree. The challenge is finding or
making definitions. Making definitions involves a little technical
knowledge, and a source of information on where stuff lives in the
calibration.
Over time I'll continue adding support for individual vehicle requirements,
such as Honda's column multipliers and patches, Nissan's most-significant
bit tables, and Motronic's internal axis definitions. Those are all rather
special cases.
As far as equipment goes, that depends on what vehicle you intend to tune.
Nearly all of the hardware at www.moates.net is supported.

TunerPro should function fine with any 2-transistor ALDL circuit, or a
MAX232/233 circuit.
Peter's schematic is a MAX232 circuit and will work fine.

Subject: [tunerpro] ALDL interface for TunerProRT?
Hey all, new to this list! Got a quick question here. On the TunerPro
site, I find links to several places to buy a pre-assembled ALDL cable
but no diagram of the circuit. I have found several circuits, and
before building one I want to verify it is compatible with TunerProRT.
Is this circuit what is needed? Found at Tech Edge website.
I am working on a Code59-powered 7749 controlled Buick 3.8SFI Turbo
engine. Plan to use a Tech Edge wideband and TunerProRT to datalog and
autotune my project car.
Thanks!!
David
