________________________________________________________________________ GIS Technician Needed: Wildlife Conservation non-profit organisation is seeking a temporary GIS technician to assist in the processing and preservation of wildlife survey data. Candidate must be competent in the use of ArcView, either ArcView 3.x or ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel and be able to work independently. The candidate must be able to have a demonstrated ability to organize data and to generate publishable quality maps. The position can be somewhat flexible to fit the schedule of the most suitable candidate. The Fair brings together students, researchers, and community members to share ideas about sustainable energy technology and energy conservation. The event will feature: demonstrations of products and technology such as wind turbines and electric vehicles; research displays from students and professors; and booths from sustainable-energy- related groups and businesses such as federal One-Tonne-Challenge and Hydrogenics. There will be interactive activities led by student groups, with games and sustainability-themed prizes. There will also be a sustainable lunch of veggie burgers cooked on a solar-powered grill, topped with organic fixings, all free! Lug-a-mug for free fair-trade coffee! A Sustainable Energy Ceremony begins at 12:30, with speeches by Hon. David Ramsay, Minister of Natural Resources; Hon. Joseph Cordiano, Minister of Economic Development and Trade; Donna Cansfield, PA to the Minister of Energy; and Prof. Beth Savan, Director of the U of T Sustainability Office.
