GIS Technician Needed:

Wildlife Conservation non-profit organisation is seeking a temporary GIS 
technician to assist in the processing and preservation of wildlife survey data.

Candidate must be competent in the use of ArcView, either ArcView 3.x or 
ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel and be able to work independently. The candidate must 
be able to have a demonstrated ability to organize data and to generate 
publishable quality maps. 

The position can be somewhat flexible to fit the schedule of the most suitable 
candidate. We are looking either for full time for 6 wekkes from late April to 
June with some training in early April, or part time April to August.

On March 30, the University of Toronto will be hosting its 2nd annual 
Sustainable Energy Fair from 11am - 6pm on King's College Road, St. George 
Campus. The Fair brings together students, researchers, and community members 
to share ideas about sustainable energy technology and energy conservation. 

The event will feature: demonstrations of products and technology such as wind 
turbines and electric vehicles; research displays from students and professors; 
and booths from sustainable-energy- related groups and businesses such as 
federal One-Tonne-Challenge and Hydrogenics. 

There will be interactive activities led by student groups, with games and 
sustainability-themed prizes. There will also be a sustainable lunch of veggie 
burgers cooked on a solar-powered grill, topped with organic fixings, all free! 
Lug-a-mug for free fair-trade coffee! 

A Sustainable Energy Ceremony begins at 12:30, with speeches by Hon. David 
Ramsay, Minister of Natural Resources; Hon. Joseph Cordiano, Minister of 
Economic Development and Trade; Donna Cansfield, PA to the Minister of Energy; 
and Prof. Beth Savan, Director of the U of T Sustainability Office.  Other 
distinguished guests will include MPP Rosario Marchese (NDP, Trinity-Spadina) 
and MPP Marilyn Churley (NDP, Toronto, Danforth).   

There will also be a symposium running concurrently, with student presentations 
and an expert's panel on topics of sustainable energy technology.

TUGS General Meeting

The last TUGS General Meeting of the term. Vote on 4 constitutional amendments: 

Article IV, Section 4, part a): Any executive member who fails to attend two 
TUGS Executive meetings will be automatically removed from their position. 

Article IV, Section 4, part b): Any Executive member who is unable to attend a 
TUGS Exec meeting must notify the Exec via the TUGS Exec listserv 1 day before 
the meeting. 

Article IV, Section 4, part c): The TUGS Executive is responsible for 
determining if the notification noted in part b) is acceptable, and if a TUGS 
Exec member is noted as absent or excused in the meeting minutes. 

Article IV, Section 7, add part e): Each member of the TUGS Executive 
shall hold their position from May 1st to April 30th
