Ken,
I walked away and it started after half hour the first time so maybe you can
wait.
The commented log below shows 6 Minutes to first Screen of Event Boss as long
as SDK agrees with Target API 8 reset to 10.
I have 1.5 GHz 2 GB ram on Intel Core Solo Circa 2006 running 10.6 because 10.7
not supported.
It's like XP versus Windows 7 maybe.
If you have the API 8 target SDK installed it should work.
Also lately I am working in RUN menu which has settings & RUN CONFIGURATIONS.
I can RUN the selected SDK API 15 Android 4.0.3 and CLOSE emulator window
TSSG_2012-Indigo separately.
The build was done with API set to 10 on API 15 !
I also have added past releases under HELP menu INSTALL SOFTWARE.
I learned to avoid other devices like Droid & Razor time wasting installations
and just use basic Android SDK installations.
I suspect I could get 2.x with the TARGET API 8 working by installing the right
SDK for that version.
It should work the same on all operating systems.
The biggest problem may be the changes to ownership for JAVA & Oracle vs
Android / Google court cases
and if and where work has been done.

I am also trying an install of faster vbox with 2.3.3.
I can't get the display to the right dimensions but that wouldn't affect EVENT
BOSS.
