I have no clue what #123 Sustainability is!  That is totally new.  One thing – 
there is a group of three that you only need one of (Hiking, Swimming, 
Cycling).  Other than that, I believe the rest are all required.  So looks like 
we are up to 13 (cooking was recently added as Eagle required as well).

I will double check, but guessing this is accurate.

Everyone,
Just a heads up on our next Merit Badge Trail.  We cannot register until 
November 1st, but here is the list of classes for the Scouts to review.  We do 
not know any pre-requisites yet.  Please share this with your Scout.
The goal should be for the Scouts to finish all three merit badges that they 
sign up for, so talk with your Scout about their current workload at school, 
other extra curriculum activities, and try to have them be realistic on which 
merit badges they can complete.  It is MUCH MUCH easier to push to get a merit 
badge completed at the first go round, then to try to track down the merit 
badge counselor later.  You can look up the details for any merit badge online:

The Eagle-required merit badges and STEM merit badges are generally more time 
consuming, but not always.  Mr. Solch is a GREAT resource for the Scouts to go

Hi Cynthia,
Below is what we are offering for badges at the 2017 MBTD.  Please note, the 
first MBTD event is now on Feb 11th (instead of Feb 4th) due to schedule 
conflict.  Event dates are now: Feb 11th, Feb 18th and March 4th, 2017 and the 
cost is now $7 per Scout.
