Hi Brian ... I haven't stuck my nose in here for quite awhile, so I thought
I would throw in my opinion on the resource question. Personally, I would
set the swap file to "Let Windows handle it". The swap file figures into the
total resources and if set to "Windows .... " it will change with need.
Windows uses a piece of your hard drive as RAM and the lower your real RAM
gets, the more it uses the swap file. Because the swap file is so much
slower than RAM, windows tries to use the swap file on the lesser used
programs you are using, leaving more RAM for the more extensively used
programs and when you get real low on RAM, windows will expand the swap file
to help out the resources. If you are getting down to 15% resources, things
would run mighty slow and some programs not at all. If you put an upper and
lower limit on it, your real RAM will be used up quicker and your resources
will also get used up quicker. Also, try shutting programs that you are not
using down ... this will help the resource situation out a bit as well.

I also use a small program called AMS Fast Defrag ... a little program in my
quick launch bar that cleans and returns RAM after you close programs. It's
very simple to set up and use and only takes about 10 seconds to do it's
thing. You may be pleasantly surprised at the amount of RAM it frees up if
you have been on the computer for awhile. Here is the address ... look in
the left coloum under Standard (there is also a Pro version). It's 471Kb, so
not much to download. Good Luck !!!
