Why not copy/paste the list of the running progs. into a message to the board, Juanita?
That way we can all participate and learn simultaneously.

Well I didn't realize you got the same running processes from the control panel that you get from running msconfig. Guess I need to get my book out again. I thought maybe that was a different list.

I know I don't have anything harmful running. I copied and pasted my highjackthis list here.

http://hijackthis.de/index.php?langselect=english

They keep it there for three days. They have a forum there. Anyone can go there and analysie it if I understand it right. I haven't gone to the forum yet.

I have four dell enteries on the running processes. I know two of them is where they had their store as my home page. I have changed that though. The other two I don't know what is. Thought I would wait awhile before fooling with them.

And yes, that was a great tip from down under Sandy. She's come a long way since she first acquired XP, hasn't she?
It seems it was ages ago; that was pre SP1, I think.

Yup. But this morning when I booted up. The bar across OE was gone. The one that you can block sender accept sender report as spam and etc. Trend Mirco updated and it returned. But not the messanger thank goodness.

Hopefully, Dell didn't bundle any Symantec stuff in your new purchase. Just give us the HJT log and we'll see what we can do.

They didn't. They put something to monitor my PC though. I don't like it one bit. It doesn't seem fair that you buy a new computer and the companies take it upon themselves to fill your hard drive with their junk.

This morning when I booted up in the upper right hand corner I saw F2. There was another F but it was too late to see the number on it.. Do you know what that was? Maybe that is how dell is getting in my computer!!!!!! They donn't have the right. That is unless they choose not to charge me for it. Don't think that will happen.

I can't enjoy using this computer until????????

Juanita
