Here are some possibilities:
1. You have some kind of filter, like an anti-popup filter, on your machine,
and it has broken these JavaScripts. To correct, bypass or fix the filter
(don't know how, unless you are using Proxomitron).
2. Your security settings forbid JavaScripts or Active Scripting. To
correct, go to Tools, then Internet Options, then Security. Select Internet,
and click "Restore Defaults". This will reset your security settings to
allow what is normally allowed and forbid what is normally forbidden.
3. You may have JavaScript turned off. To turn it back on, go to Tools,
Internet Options, Advanced, and look for any settings mentioning JavaScript
or Active Scripting. You may find nothing; I believe some versions use the
Security settings instead.
