measuring the thickness of the babys neck or the thickness of the skin on
the babys neck...

He's going to do a Nuchal Translucency Scan (NT) the nuchal fold on the back
of the baby's neck is measured and if under 7mm thickness lies within normal
range if over 7mm thickness can be indicative of Trisomy 21 I don't think
they can detect T18 this way.
